Happily Amber After

So, 3 major things happened today.

I completely forgot that this month it’s Britt’s birthday! She was so excited today when she was handing out her invitations to her birthday party. I could tell that she had put a lot of effort into it – they were all printed out and sealed in envelopes! Like Lauren’s party, it’s going to be at her house. The only big difference is that there are going to be no parents! Can you believe it?! I seriously don’t know how she pulled it off, but like, it means that we are going to have heaps more freedom to do what we want. Sooooo good! Except…

She’s letting Mercy bring Demarco. And she’s invited Jenny too. As much as I seriously wanted to tell her not to be so stupid, it’s not my party and I can’t really do that. I am so pissed off about it. Jenny hasn’t even bothered to come and see us, or like, apologise to me or anything!

Such a bitch.

Everything seems to be going well for Amy at the moment. You know that guy she was making eye contact with at Lauren’s party? Well, she’s going on a date with him this Saturday! I didn’t even know that she was talking to him – she said that she gave him her number when she left the party and they’ve been talking on msn ever since.

She hasn’t told any of the girls yet though. Only me. But I’m not going to tell anyone. Even though I think it’s weird she hasn’t said anything. Especially to Lauren. I asked her about it, but she just said that she wants to make sure it’s the real deal. Well, something along those lines.

I personally think that she’s worried about being hurt again. Like, she went out with Dan for ages. And it didn’t exactly start on good terms. You know, with all the lying and stuff. But I am really happy that she’s happy. This has been like, the most positive I have seen her in a while.

So, it’s his birthday on Sunday (yeah I know, sooooo much birthday talk lol), and he’s decided that we are going to go to Happy Chinese so that we can bring Nanna along. I haven’t seen her for a while, so I am actually pretty excited to see her. I want to tell her about my piano exam. It’s so funny to think that we have a lot in common. Like, she used to play when she was younger, she hates peas, and she’s really creative. Just like me.

At least I know where those things come from. Because mum and dad definitely don’t have those genes. Well, I don’t think they do.

Anyway! So, in addition to dinner, dad announced at dinner that we are going to renovate the house! He said that it’s going to be his birthday present to himself, and that he is going to talk to some building people about plans and stuff. Dad really wants a theatre room because they are the ‘in’ thing at the moment.

I don’t mind that idea.

It would be pretty cool to have one to watch movies and all that. So yeah, that was pretty exciting! Mum isn’t happy about it, but I think it’s because she doesn’t know how much it’s going to cost. Dad doesn’t know either, which is why he’s going to talk to the building people about it. Obviously if it’s going to cost too much, it’s not going to happen, but hopefully it’s affordable!

September is actually looking good so far!

Hopefully tomorrow night goes well too…

I am so freaking nervous to see Eliza. But I’m actually more worried about how mum and dad are going to react once they know that she’s pregnant.

I wonder if I should give them a heads up…

Amber A.
